Sipo Records’ Zo Zo Riddim arrived in January 2020 as a brisk, modern dancehall juggling with a sharp, percussive pulse and a tempo that sits around that 105 BPM pocket. The production has a clipped, head-nodding feel, with enough space for the voices to cut through while still pushing a hard digital bounce. The title cut from Sipo anchors the set, and the rhythm’s bright, militant energy gives the whole project a street-level urgency.

The line-up mixes veteran voices and newer names in a way that suits a producer-led riddim package. Angel Doolas brings his seasoned singjay style to “Do Weh Mi Waa, ” while Boom Dandimite’s “Never Lef It” adds that veteran dancehall grit. Galaxy P’s “Straight Like A Arrow” and Iyara’s “Dutty Style Dat” both sit comfortably in the tough-talking lane, with clear-cut delivery and party-ready confidence. Jah Be’s “Step Inna This” and Nine Yard’s “So Mi Dweet” keep the energy direct, while Nymron’s “Air Strike” and the pairing of Ras Shadi and Mitch on “Sort Out” widen the palette without breaking the riddim’s momentum.

“Active” from Shawn Boasy and Jugu Dan fits the project’s combative tone, and 3Star’s “Wild” gives the set an extra shot of rawness. Zo Zo Riddim feels less like a one-song showcase than a proper juggling built for selectors: stripped-back, forceful, and tuned for repeated spins.
