Yaaz Riddim – Gravi-T Music

By 2008, Gravi-T Music was already leaning into the harder, hook-friendly end of modern dancehall, and Yaaz Riddim fits right into that stretch with a compact eight-song lineup fronted by Buju Banton, Vybz Kartel, Lady Saw and Demarco. The set has that sharp, streetwise energy from the era, with Demarco cutting the loudest profile here by running both the clean and raw versions of “Tight Pussy Walk, ” while Kartel’s “Ovadose Mi Bankbook” keeps the money-talk angle moving. Compared with Gravi-T’s earlier 2007 Untouchable Riddim, this one feels a little tighter and more streamlined, less crowded and more focused on a small cluster of heavy hitters.
