A tight 2017 juggling from Jerry Muziq, Xxtasy Riddim keeps the focus on crisp dancehall energy rather than trying to overcomplicate the formula. The five-cut line-up moves from Chyna Nicole’s “Movie Star Love” to Dama’s “Proud Gallis” and Higha Tone’s title track, with Josey Wales bringing a seasoned voice to “Good Life” and Lusion closing things out on “Him Lie. ” It’s the kind of riddim that leans on clean drum programming, a firm low end, and just enough bounce to let each singer carve out their own space. Josey Wales is the name most likely to pull ears first, but the project never feels like it’s waiting on one big star to carry it.
