Water Drops Riddim sits in that late-2000s reggae lane where conscious voices and melodic singers share the same steady pulse, and Amplex Records keeps the groove clean enough for the lyrics to carry without crowding the mix. Sizzla opens the set with “Forever For Love, ” while Lutan Fyah’s “Lie To Me, ” Gyptian’s “Harda They Come, ” and Chuck Fenda’s “Cleanse My Soul” give the riddim some of its sharpest moments, moving from roots-heavy reflection to smoother hooks and harder-edged delivery. Troyton Hinds was already building a track record under the Amplex name before later rebranding the label to Troyton Music, and this project shows that ear for pairing strong singers with a polished, mid-tempo foundation.
