Vitamin Riddim – Akom Records

Akom Records keeps the focus tight on Vitamin Riddim, a four-cut 2008 roots set voiced by Lutan Fyah, Edge Michael, Jah Mason and Natty King. The songs move in sequence like a proper 7-inch run, with no extra filler or dub versions on this release, just the straight vocals: “Word Sound and Power, ” “Mr Babylon, ” “Journey To Life” and “Sell Out. ” Lutan Fyah’s opener and Jah Mason’s “Journey To Life” feel like the anchor points, while Natty King brings the sharper social edge. Dub Akom later expanded the idea into a larger Vitamin and Highlight package, but this first pressing is the leaner one. Vitamin Riddim was produced by Akom Records in 2008.
