Vibes Man A Build Riddim – Marshall Neeko

In early 2021, when a lot of reggae heads were leaning hard on remixes and revisits, Marshall Neeko went back to Jah Cure’s 2003 “Vibes Man A Build” and rebuilt it into a full riddim project with a clean, rootsy pulse and a real old-school afterlife. The title cut with Jah Cure and Blackout JA sets the tone, but Admiral Tibett’s “Guide and Protect” and Shabba Ranks’ “Heart Of A Lion” give it extra weight, pulling veteran voices into a tracklist that also runs through Daweh Congo, Morgan Heritage and Prezident Brown. Neeko has said he aimed to remake the original as closely as possible, then folded it into his Remix Mi Dis Vol. 10 series, which gives the whole thing a neat archival feel rather than a straight nostalgia trip.
