The Culture Riddim – Blue Sky Productions

There’s a warm, rootsy swing to The Culture Riddim, with a steady one-drop pulse and enough space in the groove for the singers to lean into the message. Blue Sky Productions keeps the arrangement uncluttered, and Luciano’s “Nations of War” sits right at the centre of it all, turning the riddim’s uplift into something more urgent and sermon-like. Fyakin’s “Free Di Rasta” brings a firmer edge, while Black Lion and Ras Myrhdak add their own shades of reasoning and praise across the set. Released in September 2021, the project runs six cuts deep, with Blue Sky Productions closing things out on the instrumental version, almost like a final nod to how the whole piece was put together.
