Venom Overview
The Venom Riddim came together in a lively Kingston studio during 1999. The producer, known as MUSIC MOTIVE, wanted to create a dancehall sound that would fill clubs and keep people moving all night. MUSIC MOTIVE has a history of working with street anthems, and his productions often focus on strong, catchy rhythms. His work under the Music Motive label helped shape the late 90s dancehall scene. On this riddim, several standout artists brought their own style. Kiprich delivered “Who Mek Di Gal Dem Holla,” adding his playful energy. Kiprich is known for his sharp lyrics and later for hits like “Telephone Ting.” Mad Cobra gave fans “Seh Dem A Bad Man,” showing his tough delivery. Mad Cobra is famous worldwide for his 1992 hit “Flex,” which topped charts in Jamaica and made waves internationally. Mr Easy’s “Chucky Boo” added a smooth, melodic touch to the riddim. Mr Easy has worked with many top producers and is respected for his gentle vocal style. Nadine Sutherland brought her song “Wheel,” giving the compilation a touch of soulful singing. Nadine is celebrated for her long career and her early work with Buju Banton on “Action,” a classic dancehall duet.
