Under Cover Riddim – Splif Click Productions

2021 was still full of lean, low-key reggae riddims, and Under Cover fits that moment neatly: just two cuts, both from Lirical D Mirical, with “Gone Too Under Cover” carrying the weightier title and “Feeling Irie” lightening things up with a more relaxed, upbeat feel. It’s a very compact release, more like a quick two-song statement than a full juggling set, and that gives it a certain focus. The production pairing of Splif Click Productions and Kunta Warriah Productions keeps the spotlight on the vocalist, who gets to move from reflective to breezy without a lot of extra noise around him.
