U.F.I Riddim – Quantanium Records

The U. F. I Riddim carries a brisk, hard-edged dancehall pulse with a stripped, no-frills shell that lets the vocals cut straight through, and Quantanium Records keeps the set tight with just three song cuts and an instrumental. Jahmiel’s “Instigators” and Masicka’s “Tony Montana” are the obvious talking points, both appearing in clean and raw versions, while Vitch’s “Top Gallis” pushes the same rhythm from a slightly rougher angle. The sequencing is lean: vocal cuts first, then the “Social Riddim” instrumental to close things out, which gives the release a DJ-friendly feel. The project was released in 2015 and also circulated as a six-track EP in October of that year under Quantanium Records.
