Charlie Pro keeps this one lean and focused, which is a little different from the bigger, busier juggling sets he’s sometimes tied to. Turn It Up Riddim runs just five tracks deep, and that compact shape gives Bushman and Nagas’ title cut room to land before Dhax, Hot Frass and Pure Vybz take their turns. One write-up from the time even pointed to the opening notes as the cue for the name, and you can hear why: the rhythm is made to be cranked, with a direct, percussive drive rather than any glossy flourish.
