BASSink Productions frames Tropikal Gas Riddim as a quick-hit 2019 dancehall set, and the whole thing leans into a bright, jaunty pull rather than anything heavy or brooding. The sharpest match is probably Shanta Prince’s “Rude Gal, ” which rides the rhythm with enough attitude to set the tone before Jus D’s “Watch Ova Me” and Joaquin’s “Wine Pon U” take it into more flirtatious territory.
