Quick Mixx Records kept its 2012 run lean and focused with Treasure Chest Riddim, a five-track reggae set that leans on feel more than volume. The cut is light on gimmicks, with a clean rootsy swing and enough low-end warmth to keep Gyptian’s two appearances sitting nicely alongside Bekkie Bailey, Blazzah, and G Maffiah. Gyptian’s “Bring Back Reggae” is the obvious anchor, and it points the whole project back toward the title’s promise without overcomplicating the formula.
