Touch Base Overview
In 2013, a new carnival jam took over the soca scene, giving DJs a powerful anthem for every fete. The journey of this riddim started in the studio with sound architect Stadic. Known for his sharp ear and modern touch, Stadic carefully crafted the Touch Base Riddim, blending energetic drums and bright melodies that capture the spirit of Caribbean celebration. The riddim soon found its way into the hands of some of soca and dancehall’s most exciting voices. Bunji Garlin, already famous for his global hit “Differentology,” brought his commanding style to the track “Streets.” His performance added a fierce energy that matched the riddim’s driving beat. Darrio, a dancehall artist from Jamaica, delivered “Touch Yuh Toe,” showing off his smooth flow and dance-ready lyrics. J Angel added her own flavor with “As A Woman,” bringing a fresh female voice to the mix. Her vocals rode the riddim with confidence, making the track a favorite on the carnival circuit. Renzo, known for his dynamic stage presence, rounded out the release with “Bounce,” a song that quickly became a party favorite, urging crowds to move. When the Touch Base Riddim dropped, it instantly became the heartbeat of 2013 fetes. DJs loved its high energy, and fans kept the songs on repeat. Each artist brought their unique style, but together, they created a release that still brings back memories of nonstop dancing and pure carnival joy.
