Prosperous Overview
Behind one of dancehall’s most influential projects of 2019 is Markus Records, a studio and label led by producer Markus Myrie. Markus Records has built a strong reputation in Jamaica for crafting modern riddims that connect with both local and international audiences. Known for working with top artists and producing hits that get heavy rotation, the label continued its impact with the Prosperous Riddim. Prosperous Riddim brought together some of dancehall’s brightest talents, each delivering standout tracks that shaped the sound of the year. Popcaan’s “Level Up” captured the energy of the dancehall scene with his signature style. Quada followed with “Team,” a song that celebrates unity and ambition. Jafrass gave the riddim another highlight with “Wrong Move,” adding a gritty edge.
