TOCO LOCO RIDDIM produced by TJ RECORDS 2018
Toco Loco Overview
Back in 2018, the bashment rhythm was everywhere in Jamaica and across the world. It wasn’t just another dancehall beat—it really showed the energy of that year. The sound was bold, with strong horns and a groove that made people want to dance. Clubs, parties, and radio stations all played it nonstop. It was a rhythm that brought people together on the dance floor. A big reason for this sound was the work of the sound engineer, who made sure every detail was just right. The engineer gave the riddim its clean, punchy feel and made the horns stand out. This made the songs easy to recognize and hard to forget. Behind the scenes, TJ RECORDS was the producer that put everything together. TJ RECORDS, started by Linton “TJ” White, is known for big dancehall hits and has worked with some of the biggest names in Jamaican music. The label has millions of streams and is respected for shaping the modern dancehall sound. The artists on this riddim made it even more special. Charly Black brought his party style to “Wine.” He’s famous for his global hit “Gyal You a Party Animal,” which topped charts in several countries. Patrice Roberts gave us “Touch Me,” showing her soca roots and strong vocals. Machel Montano, a legend in soca music, added “Toco Loco.” Konshens came in with “Sexin,” adding his smooth voice.
