The Solution Riddim (2008) – Nuttn Tu Supm

Six cuts, and the names on The Solution Riddim tell you straight away this one was aimed at the dancehall corner of 2008: Vybz Kartel, Aidonia, Prince Zimboo, Kwich Silvah and Marlon Binns all ride the same Nuttn Tu Supm production, with Kartel’s “Ghetto Yutes Muss Get Rich” and Aidonia’s “Turn Guns Ina Fundz” doing the heavy lifting. The writing leans hard into gun talk, survival and money pressure, but there’s also a pushback in “Peace Again” and “Why The War, ” which gives the riddim a sharper contrast than the title might suggest. It’s a compact set, no excess, just one version cut and a handful of vocals from a period when hard-edged street records were still driving the sound system circuit.
