Digital Empire Studios kept The Return Riddim compact and lively in 2013, packing just five cuts into a sharp soca set that leans more on jab energy than glossy crossover polish. Big Kage’s “Get Mad” and Dilecious’ “Run” push the pace with that restless, road-ready bounce, while J-R-E Jungle Doc and Sirevolt’s “Jab From We Born” leans hardest into the Carnival bacchanal spirit. Legs’ “Disagreable” and Yung Image’s “Forever Live Jab” keep the momentum up, with the latter especially tying the whole thing back to the jab music current that was still running strong through Trinidad and the wider soca scene at the time.
