The Project Riddim – Kirkledove Records

Released in 2020, The Project Riddim from Kirkledove Records brings together four reggae cuts from Busy Signal, Fiji, Hezron, and Romain Virgo, with Busy Signal’s Baby Dance and Romain Virgo’s Save Your Love For Me among the key songs. The project runs as a short four-track juggling, and the lineup gives it a nice balance of established names and roots-leaning vocals across the one-riddim format. Kirk Bennett, the producer behind Kirkledove Records, has long been known as one of Jamaica’s veteran drummers, and that background gives the release a tight, live-feeling foundation.
