THE BATMOBILE RIDDIM (SOCA) – FWI MUSIC 2013

Lean and percussion-heavy, the Batmobile Riddim has that early-2010s soca pressure where the groove keeps snapping forward without crowding the vocals. Fwi Music put out five cuts here, led by Problem Child’s cheeky “Fake Frenz” and Orlando Octave’s “Out Ah Control, ” with Mr Renzo’s “Sit Pon Meh” and the Screws X Angie combination on “Japanese Wok” adding some extra color to the set. The sequencing closes with the instrumental, which lets the riddim breathe on its own after the vocal runs. Released in 2013, the project runs five tracks long and credits Fwi Music on the full EP.
