Terrorist Riddim – Ragga Meridional Crew

Ragga Meridional Crew’s Terrorist Riddim came out in 2013 with a tough new-roots pulse that feels more militant than flashy, and the Italian production team leaned on a small but sharp lineup to carry it. Five cuts keep the focus tight: I-Shack’s “Time So Hard, ” Laza Morgan’s “Anything Possible, ” Luciano’s “Danger, ” Perfect Giddimani’s “Cyaan Cool, ” and Tizla’s “Emergency. ” The riddim was also tied to the Franziska band, which gives the whole thing that live-band weight under the horns and drums rather than a sterile digital snap. Luciano’s “Danger” hangs over the set as the anchor, but Perfect Giddimani and Laza Morgan add the kind of hooky, straight-ahead chanting that keeps the pace moving.
