TANTY PATSY RIDDIM (SOCA) – 2019 – XPERT PRODUCTIONS

Xpert Productions spent much of 2019 in the soca lane, but Tanty Patsy came through as a tight little four-artist set rather than one of the bigger, busier riddim packages. Mr Gold’n’s “Cherish” and Jabari’s “Live Up” sit right in the center of it, while Dezy X’s “Holiday” adds a bright, fete-ready pull that keeps the pace moving without getting too frantic. The production has that clean Carnival-season snap: crisp drums, a nimble bass line, and just enough room for the vocals to ride the groove without crowding it. Xpert Productions also handles the instrumental, which runs just over three minutes and keeps the whole thing focused, with the full release issued as a five-song EP on February 8, 2019.
