Ramajay Riddim (2017) – Aquarion Studios

Aquarion Studios kept Ramajay Riddim tight in 2017, with just four cuts and no wasted space, the kind of soca set that leans more on momentum than on big-named overload. Juice opens with “Steady Jammin, ” and that title pretty much matches the vibe: bright, percussive and ready for road play, while Pupa Leendi’s “Jookie Jam” and Sheldon Douglas’ “I Swear” keep the energy bouncing without losing the carnival pulse. Shortpree closes the set with “Wet Fete, ” which feels like the most obvious call for a sweaty party starter and leaves the riddim on a high. It’s a compact Aquarion production, but the arrangement makes room for each singer to punch through cleanly, and the last track lands as the clearest sign of what the project is after.
