Substance Abuse Overview
When the Substance Abuse Riddim hit the streets in 2016, dancehall fans quickly made it a favorite. The collection turned into a true yard anthem, filling parties and sound systems across Jamaica and beyond. People praised its lively beats and the way each artist brought something different to the table. Vybz Kartel Ft.Sheba’s “Don’t Tek It Out” stood out with Kartel’s signature style and Sheba’s catchy vocals. Kartel, known for his global hit “Fever” and his long run as a dancehall leader, gave the riddim extra star power. Demarco delivered “Nuh Response,” adding his own flair. Demarco is well known for songs like “I Love My Life,” which made him a household name in reggae and dancehall. Jemineye’s “Brain Food” added a thoughtful touch, while G7’s “One Draw” gave the riddim a smooth, laid-back vibe. Mr Vegas, famous for his classic hit “Heads High,” brought his energy to “Nah Run.” Each song felt unique but fit perfectly in the collection. Other standout tracks came from Alfray with “Likkle & Tiny,” Lady Ali on “Why She Mad,” Shane O with “Hurry Up,” Double X’s “No Time Fi Dem,” and Konshens’ “Nuh Give A Damn.” Every artist added their own twist, making the riddim fresh from start to finish.
