STUKIE RIDDIM produced by QQ & FRIENDS 2011
Stukie Overview
In 2011, dancehall was full of energy and new sounds. This was the perfect time for the Stukie Riddim, a club-ready project that brought heavy basslines and exciting rhythms to parties and radio stations. The riddim was produced by QQ & FRIENDS, a team known for creating tracks that light up the dancefloor. QQ, a young but experienced artist and producer from Jamaica, had already built a name for himself with hits like “Stookie” and was recognized for his creative approach to dancehall production. Stukie Riddim featured a strong lineup of artists, each bringing their own style. Anthony B delivered “Dont Do It,” a track with powerful lyrics and his signature conscious energy. Beenie Man, often called the “King of Dancehall,” contributed “The Gal Them Love Me So,” a song that quickly became a favorite at parties for its catchy hooks. Dada’s “Lyrics” stood out with its clever wordplay, showing off his skills as a deejay. The riddim also included Dasia’s “Give Me More,” which added a melodic and soulful touch. Legendary saxophonist Dean Fraser played “Funky Trucker,” giving the project a unique instrumental vibe. Other highlights were Fanton Mojah And Sugar Minott’s “Jah Love,” Keke I’s “No Pain No Game,” Lady Saw’s “I Can Love You Better,” Ninja Man’s “Gun And Ammunition,” and Perfect’s “Teflon Fi You Breakfast.” Stukie Riddim remains an important part of dancehall history, remembered for its energy, strong production, and the way it brought top artists together on one unforgettable project.
