STATION X RIDDIM (SOCA) – IMPULSE PRODUCTIONS 2019

Impulse Productions’ Station X Riddim came out in 2019 with a lean eight-track soca run that still pulls in nine different voices, and it feels a little different from the producer’s later output because it leans harder into party-jump energy and playful hooks than the more recent, darker riddim work. Chyst’s “Living Evidence” and Dash’s “What Happen” set the tone early, while Noydie Glo and Scatter’s “Bop” and Blacka Da Clone’s “Pipe Head” push the riddim into cheekier, road-ready territory; the production keeps everything bright, percussive, and quick on its feet, with that rolling bacchanal feel soca fans know well. The full set also runs through Doorbell, D’Mayah, Khalifah and D’Regulars, making Station X one of those compact Carnival-season packages that gets straight to the point with no extra filler.
