Kinda Pepper Riddim – Karbon Jamz

Karbon Jamz usually leans hard into slick dancehall production, so Kinda Pepper feels a little looser and more carnival-minded, with that 2019 soca bounce front and centre. “Contraband” has the sort of sharp, chant-ready hook that sticks after one spin, while Grabba Finesse’s “Wutless” and D’Termine’s “We Dangerous” keep the energy jumping without crowding the riddim’s space. Wizz La’s “Tic Toc” is the one that pushes the groove the furthest, riding the rhythm with a quick, teasing pace before Karbon Jamz closes it out on the instrumental. The whole set runs to six tracks and landed in mid-May 2019, right in that pre-summer window when soca releases start warming up the season.
