The 2003 set only runs two tracks, so there’s no clutter to hide behind: Benjai’s “In This Life” and Scarface’s “I Love It” each get a clean run at the rhythm, and that balance gives the release a sharper edge than a bigger compilation might have managed. Benjai is the more familiar name here, and his track carries the weight of the session with a more reflective tone, while Scarface keeps things moving with a straightforward, hook-first approach. It’s the kind of small-footprint riddim that tells you everything by how little it uses, and Benjai’s “In This Life” ends up leaving the strongest mark.
