Piranah Riddim

Moving through three cuts only, Piranah Riddim keeps the focus tight: Alisha’s “Wine, ” Benjai and Bunji’s “Bounce, ” and Vibe’s “Some Gal” all ride the same 2003 dancehall frame, with the emphasis on sharp percussion, a clipped stepping pulse, and a bass line that pushes rather than sprawls. It feels like the kind of early-2000s riddim built for dancefloor command, lean enough to leave room for the vocals but stubborn in the low end, so each singer has to work the pocket differently. Benjai and Bunji bring the most kinetic moment on “Bounce, ” while Alisha’s “Wine” leans into a more teasing delivery.
