Slawter House Riddim – Notnice Records

Notnice Records had Slawter House Riddim in 2009, and the cut feels very much of that era: blunt, gritty dancehall with the kind of pressure that suited clash talk and gun talk alike. The line-up keeps it lean, with Blak Ryno’s “Drive Through Prize (Alliance Diss)” setting the tone, then Vybz Kartel linking with Jah Vinci on “Bubblin Over And Over” and going solo on “Love Of Money. ” Kartel also teams with Merital on an untitled track, which keeps the focus on his run of releases around that period. There’s no padding here, just four vocal cuts arranged like a tight little segment for selectors, with the diss record doing the heaviest lifting. Slawter House Riddim was produced by Notnice Records in 2009.
