Ska Riddim – Ninety Two Fs Entertainment

Five tracks, five different takes on the same ska groove, and that’s really the point here: Ninety Two Fs Entertainment kept the format lean in 2008 and let the singers do the talking. Anthony B’s “Hero” brings the strongest name value, while Sizzla’s “My Love” adds a familiar heavyweight touch; on the other side, Classical Eska’s “In Love” and Perfect feat. Gene Slick’s “Waah Cry” keep things moving with lighter, more melodic turns. The instrumental cut closes it out cleanly, which makes the whole set feel like a quick snapshot rather than an overstuffed compilation.
