Shuffle Riddim – Fire Links Productions

A quick run through Shuffle Riddim and you can hear Fire Links Productions leaning into that clean, mid-2010 dancehall snap rather than anything overly polished or sugary. The set is short at six tracks, but it still gives you a nice little spread of voices: Gyptian linking with Face on “Drive Out” adds a smoother melodic pull, while Stein’s “Mi Have Your Gal” has that blunt, chest-out energy that suits the riddim’s push. New Kidz get one of the more playful cuts with “Girls Dem A Wine, ” and Perfect’s “I Nah Drop” keeps the vibe firm and uncompromising. Ching Ching and Dns fill out the frame without cluttering it, which is part of the charm here.
