SCORPIO RIDDIM produced by MASHWORKS FAMILY STUDIO 2019
Scorpio Overview
In 2019, the soca scene was full of energy, and the carnival jam riddim was one of the big reasons why. This riddim brought real carnival vibes to the road. Compared to other soca drops of its time, the carnival jam riddim stood out because of its catchy rhythm and the way it made people want to jump and wave. Many soca riddims in 2019 had electronic sounds or heavy bass, but this one kept things bright and easy to dance to. The main songs on the riddim were from some strong artists. Runi Jay & Killa B gave us “Wah Could Be Better,” a song that quickly became a favorite for carnival fans. Black Blingers also had their own version of “Wah Could Be Better,” giving a different flavor to the same riddim. Warlord’s “Go Down Low” was another highlight, bringing a deep groove that made people move. Yung Mickey’s “Little Lady” added a sweet touch, while KJ & Mirage’s “Make You Bawl” kept the energy high. Warlord is known for his powerful stage presence, and his earlier single “No Retreat” was a big hit in the soca world. Yung Mickey has been part of several collaborations in the Caribbean music scene, showing his talent across genres. Behind the scenes, MASHWORKS FAMILY STUDIO was the producer that made it all happen. This studio has a strong history in Caribbean music and is known for working with both new and established artists.
