Satta Land Riddim – Original Music

Neville Beckford produced Satta Land Riddim for Original Music in 1977, and this short roots set is built around just two cuts: Dub’s Satta Land Version and Jah Woosh’s Satta Land. It sits firmly in the late-’70s Satta Massagana family of reggae rhythms, the kind that kept being reworked for singers and deejays through the roots era. Jah Woosh’s vocal gives the riddim its clearest showcase, while the dub version keeps the arrangement stripped back and heavy.
