Miss Wire Waist Riddim – Impact!, Mr Tipsy

Miss Wire Waist Riddim comes from Impact! and Mr Tipsy, with the post pointing to a 1975 cut produced by Clive Chin, Pat Chin, and Blackbeard. The centerpiece is Carl Malcolm’s Miss Wire Waist, joined by Jah Woosh’s Shine Eye Gal and Skin Flesh and Bones’ Wire Dub, with Scotty’s later Wire Waist version rounding out the set. It has that classic mid-70s Kingston feel, and Malcolm’s original song was one of the records that helped define his run with Impact! in the UK. The dub version from Skin Flesh and Bones also gives the rhythm a deeper, heavier edge.
