By the time YT, Tenor Fly, MC Shabba, UK Apache and David Boomah pile into the “Dubplate (Remix), ” the Rumours Riddim is already doing that stripped, bass-heavy Necessary Mayhem thing where the pressure sits low and the vocals have room to jab through. Blackout JA’s “Love My Woman, ” cut with Michie One, gives the set its warmest curve, while Chyna Soulstar and Demolition Man push “Lord Save My Soul” into tougher territory, and Da Grynch’s “Rumours (Dub)” keeps the whole thing moving with a more skeletal version of the rhythm.
