Raised Riddim – Krak In Dub

Raised Riddim pairs a compact eight-track run with a heavyweight cast: Capleton, Beenie Man, Troy Berkley, Johnny Osbourne, Ras Demo, Charley Charlie, Tiger, and Davojah all circle the same cut, with an instrumental and dub version closing things out. Krak In Dub keeps it in that modern roots zone he’s known for, but the writing leans a little sharper and more club-ready than straight revival reggae, with the whole thing sitting somewhere between European pressure and Jamaican rub-a-dub. Troy Berkley’s “Born and Raised” gets an extra nod in the release notes, and it fits the theme nicely alongside Osbourne and Ras Demo’s “The Right Time. ” The bass stays deep and elastic throughout, while the drum pattern keeps a steady marching swing that never rushes the vocals, letting the voices ride the riddim cleanly at a mid-tempo pace.
