Rsqthp Riddim – Survivor Slim

Survivor Slim’s Rsqthp Riddim sits in that early-2010s reggae pocket where the groove is light on its feet but the cuts keep a tough edge, and this one pulls in a wide enough crew to keep things moving without losing focus. G Starr’s “Mi A Run” and Red Rat’s “On Me” set the tone nicely, while Delly Ranks comes in with the sharper, more streetwise “Nah Teck Nuh Dis (Raw)” and Magazeen’s “Bestie” gives the set a smoother, more melodic turn. Survivor Slim, real name Ricardo Raffington, was already moving as a producer under the RSQTHP banner by 2012, and the riddim’s 11-track spread shows him working with a mix of established voices and sharper young names.
