Road Runner Riddim (2012) – Millionaire Family

“Road Runner Riddim” finds Millionaire Family leaning into bright, race-day soca rather than the harder-edged dancehall side they’re sometimes associated with, and the tune feels made for Carnival movement: quick-footed, punchy, and easy to call back in a fete. The cast keeps it lively without overcrowding the riddim, with Orlando Octave’s “Colours” and Kerry John’s “Jump Up” doing a lot of the heavy lifting, while Jahmel and Jade Lopez add a sharper hook on “Swankiness. ” Fadda Moses and Isac King keep the energy up in the middle of the sequence, but the real finish comes with the “Roadrunner Riddim” version, which lets the pattern breathe and makes the whole set feel like one continuous run.
