Rising Riddim – Shaks Record

Produced by Shaks Records and TAD’S RECORD, Rising Riddim arrived in 2022 with 11 tracks and a strong roots-reggae lineup led by Capleton’s Jah Preserves My Soul, Luciano’s Jah Is Stronger, and Lutan Fyah’s Heard Di Cry. Chrisinti, Fantan Mojah, Stephanie Wallace, Ragga Lox, Jah Firrey, Furious, and Lymie Murray also help round out the set, with Wayne Walker closing things off on the Shaks Rising Dub instrumental. It has that early-2020s reggae-riddim feel where the vocals do most of the heavy lifting, but the combination of veteran voices and a dub cut gives it a familiar Shaks catalogue character that keeps it rooted in the classic one-riddim format.
