This season, the Real Riddim compilation from Stingray Records is giving reggae fans something special. The roots instrumental stands out with its deep sound and steady groove. Tony Curtis brings his powerful voice to “My God Is Real.” He is respected for his hit “High Grade” and for being part of the group L.U.S.T. Bushman sings “Fill My Cup,” showing why he remains popular in roots reggae after classics like “Fire Bun A Weak Heart.” Freddie McGregor delivers smooth vocals on “I’ll Do Anything.” McGregor is recognized worldwide, with hits like “Big Ship” and a Grammy nomination to his name. Peter Hunnigale, well-loved in the UK scene, adds “Let’s Be Friends,” while Al Campbell sings “Could You.” Campbell has worked with Studio One and helped shape reggae since the 1970s.
