Raging Storm Riddim – Hills Of Sainty

Hills of Sainty usually keeps a rootsy, straight-ahead reggae touch, and Raging Storm Riddim sits nicely in that pocket: warm, conscious, and a little weather-beaten in the best way. The title cut from MediSun and Tydal Kamau sets the tone with a steady, uplifting swing, while Jah Lil’s “Never Fold” leans into grit and resilience without getting heavy-handed. Kristine Alicia’s “Gold” brings a softer edge, and Dan Gio turns up twice, with “Ghetto Revalation” giving the riddim a sharper streetwise pull and “Dem a Criminal” adding Lutan Fyah and 5 Star Celestial to the mix. It’s a compact five-track drop from November 2021, but the lineup gives it enough range to move from reflective roots energy to tougher chant-down business without losing its footing.
