Pussy Mechanic Riddim – Good Good Production

Coming out of the 2012 dancehall wave, Pussy Mechanic Riddim feels very much like a Kingston street tape with a cheeky title and a tight little roster around it. Good Good Production keeps the rhythm moving with a sharp, mid-tempo pulse that leaves space for the deejays to get crude, playful, and fully in character. Tommy Lee Sparta is the obvious anchor here, first on the title cut and then returning on “Mechanic Recover Soon (Remix), ” which gives the project its most memorable double hit. Around him, Auteur’s “Luda, ” Basiclly’s “Feel You Up, ” and Blairdawg’s “Girls Get Dibby” keep the energy on the rowdy side, while Jory ft. N. E. B. and Mr Flashy add a bit more variety to the set. It’s the title track and Tommy Lee’s second pass that leave the strongest imprint.
