Money Mix Riddim - Good Good Production

Money Mix Riddim found Good Good Production in a sweet spot in 2017, when the Montego Bay outfit was already building a name for sharp, club-ready dancehall juggling. The label is run by Evan “Zum” Powell, whose Good Good banner had become linked to modern hitmaking and big crossover names by the mid-2010s.

This one moves with a bright, bouncy, money-minded pulse that leaves room for melody, punchlines and quick-footed patter. The production feels clean and digital, with enough weight for the dance while still giving the vocalists space to work the hook. That balance is why the riddim travelled so well.

Masicka’s 10 Outa 10 is the tune that really locked into the release’s identity, with its confident talk of status and success sitting neatly inside the riddim’s swagger. Vybz Kartel’s Poco Man Skank, Mavado’s Fresh Cash and I-Octane and Ding Dong’s Stop Wile Up all push different shades of the same theme, from street talk to party pressure. Shenseea and Boom Boom’s Wine adds a flirtier, more playful edge, while Spice and D’Angel’s No Worries brings veteran presence and attitude. Teejay and Kapella Don’s Home, Yanique Curvy Diva’s Lifestyle and Tifa’s Chicken Head widen the project’s reach, and Kiprich, Savage, Shane O, Marvin the Beast and Nickeisha keep the jugglin’ moving with their own cuts.

It’s the kind of riddim that works because the voices are varied but the direction is consistent: money talk, hype talk, flex talk, all riding one clean piece of modern dancehall engineering.
