Puss Puss Riddim – Cmmg Records

A tight three-artist spread gives Puss Puss Riddim its shape, with Fanton Mojah, Pternsky, and Natural Fyah each taking a cut over CMMG Records’ 2017 dancehall rhythm. Fanton Mojah’s “Big Up All Thugs” is the one that jumps out first, and the tracklist backs that up by pairing every vocal with both explicit and radio-friendly versions, which tells you the producer was thinking about street play and airplay at the same time. The riddim itself sits in that rugged, modern dancehall pocket, lean enough to let the vocals cut through but forceful enough to carry the attitude in the title.
