Markus Records keeps Prosperous Riddim moving with a polished 2019 dancehall shell that still has plenty of street pressure. The label is run by Markus Myrie, the son of Buju Banton, who has spent years building a name around hard-hitting dancehall production and a catalogue that includes earlier rhythm projects and clashes. Prosperous sits comfortably in that lane: digital, bass-heavy, and built for both clean and raw play.

The strongest cuts come from Popcaan and Quada. Popcaan’s “Level Up” feels tailored to the current era of ambitious, money-minded dancehall, while Quada’s “Team” brings a youthful, sharp-edged tone that suits his direct style.
