Property Tax Riddim – Pure Music Productions

Property Tax Riddim came out in 2013 on Pure Music Productions, with Delly Ranx at the center of the production credit and the project later appearing as a 14-track digital release. It sits in that early-2010s dancehall-reggae space where the rhythm has enough bounce for radio and sound systems, but still leaves room for singjay phrasing and tougher deejay chat.

The riddim itself has a quick, skanking pulse and a bright, forward-moving feel that suits both playful party tunes and rougher straight-talk cuts. Sizzla’s Di Baddest brings the most forceful opening statement, with his militant edge cutting through the rhythm cleanly. Delly Ranx’s Jiggle and Wine keeps things lighter and more dance-oriented, while Macka Diamond’s Nuh Behavia brings the kind of sharp-tongued woman’s answer that has long been part of her appeal. Teflon’s Flex Tonight adds a smoother, more melodic turn, and Bling Dawg’s Love The Girls pushes the selector-friendly side of the project.

The lineup also deepens the juggling feel. Captain Barkey’s Porperty Tax gives the riddim its title echoed back in classic dancehall fashion, while Esco, Murphy, Froggy Maddsquadd, Terri Lion, Knock Shizzle, Kappa, and Madd One round out a set that feels less like a singles package and more like a working dancehall tool.
