Progression Riddim came out of Culture Rock Records in 2018 as a lean, seven-voice reggae set with a plainly rootsy pull, moving through Swashii’s title cut, Exco Levi’s “Bonafide, ” Voicemail’s “Fight The Truth, ” and Queen Omega’s “Transform. ” The release was issued in June 2018, and the lineup gives it a nice spread of tones without straying far from the same sturdy frame. Verse Ital’s “How It Feels” and Blae Minott’s “Yaweh (24-7)” keep the spiritual edge in view, while Tampanae closes the sequence with a more personal, away-from-it-all feel. The production favors an uncluttered riddim pattern and a deep bass line that leaves room for the vocals to carry the weight, with the megamix tying it together in a straight, mid-tempo flow.
