Pree Dat Riddim – Gslixxx Productions

Back in 2021, when dancehall was leaning hard into lean, street-level riddims with quick-hitting hooks, Gslixxx Productions came with Pree Dat Riddim and kept it tight: just five tracks, but enough to sketch a sharp little corner of the genre. Drastic’s “Forgive Me” has that direct, no-frills pull, while “Dark (Nah Haffi Talk)” gets extra mileage from Jay Abnormal, Prezident Lani and ReeZp trading off over the same stern momentum. Ishane’s “BrickWall” and Jamal Gordon’s “Wasted Time” keep the energy moving, but the closing “We Ah Lock E West” leans into posse-style hype and gives the project a bigger crew feel. It dropped in June 2021, right in that post-lockdown stretch when a lot of producers were feeding the streets with compact digital riddims like this one.
