Power House Riddim – Seanizzle Records

Power House Riddim landed in October 2019 on Seanizzle Records and S-Lock Ent, another chapter from Sean “Seanizzle” Reid, the Kingston producer who made his name juggling hard-hitting dancehall around singable hooks and sly, radio-ready melodies. By then, Seanizzle had already built a catalogue that included One Day, Black Leather, Happy Boulevard, and later projects like 90’s Don Dada, so this one sits comfortably in the middle of a run that kept his sound in rotation.

The riddim has that late-2010s dancehall snap: bright but muscular, with a steady forward drive that leaves room for deejays to snap off witty lines or glide into melody. It feels made for fast changes in the dance, but the production stays clean enough for the hook songs to carry. The opening pair, Vybz Kartel and Lisa Hyper’s “Come Ova, ” gives it immediate star power, while Teejay’s “Stay Scheemin’” and Busy Signal’s “Pree Man Suh” bring two different shades of streetwise momentum. Beenie Man with ZJ Liquid on “Secret” adds veteran bounce, and Christopher Martin’s “All Night” smooths the edges without draining the energy.

The lineup also stretches into younger names and crossover voices: Intence on “Leave If You Waah Leave, ” Ishawna on “Gree Wid You, ” Iwaata on “Bare Face Gyal, ” Mr. Vegas on “Friendship Real, ” and Professa on “Cah Settle Down. ” With extra cuts from I-Octane, Demarco, Jahmiel, Vershon, and Banxx, Power House reads like a proper juggling set rather than a one-off single push.
